Yesterday, Year 6 visited The Imperial War Museum at Duxford. Whilst they were there, they were able to learn more about the Second World War to support their topic learning. Today, the whole school remembered the sacrifice of soldiers in conflict. This was particularly meaningful for the Year 6 pupils after seeing and hearing the first hand experiences of war at Duxford yesterday. This weekend one of our pupils will lay a wreath on behalf of the school at the Parish memorial service.
‘They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.’
For The Fallen’ Robert Laurence Binyon (1869-1943)
